Day 28: The fast group

Hi all!

On biking days, the distribution of people is usually someone drives the car and the divide in two groups, one group four and another group of three. We usually rotate from group to group each day so everyone gets to bike with the other members of the team.

The names assigned for these groups are:

The 'other' group – This group leaves first and consists of the people that bike fast and usually want to finish the in less time, and the most frequent members are usually Devin and Bill.

The 'fast' group – This group leaves after the 'other' group and consists of the people who do not/ don't want to bike fast, and the most frequent members are Evan and me (always).

Why did we decided these names?

We really don't have an answer. It was fun at the beginning because it confused others but in the end we adapted to the names.

The purpose of this blog is to explain the philosophy of the 'fast' group :)

The 'fast' group was formed almost at the beginning of our journey at Washington D.C. I had some difficulties keeping up with the pace of the team, so we reached the conclusion that dividing the whole team in a fast group and a slow group would be easier for everyone. I usually stay in the 'fast' group because I get really slow going uphill :c

However, the 'fast' group has a lot of advantages!

We tend to stop at beautiful places with the purpose of admiring the awesome views that the United States has to offer. We try to have a fun time while riding by getting to know each other.

Here are some pictures that the 'fast' group has taken:
