Day 11: Do Ice Baths Even Work?

We started out the morning by saying goodbye to our amazing Warmshowers hosts, Dustin and Pete Eshelman, then biked a few blocks to Sweet Donkey Cafe, run by Dustin. My smoothie and quiche were an amazing start to the morning.

I biked with Erin and Devin in the morning and Caralyn and Devin in the afternoon. Today was the longest day yet of 61.5 miles! We found a famous road along the way.

Took my bike to the old town road, rode til I can't no more

We met our hosts for tonight, Jennifer and Curtis Brown, at their beautiful home and vineyard in Draper. After a yummy dinner of pizza, salad, and homemade cookies, I played outside with their dog, Pippa.

Everyone decided to do an ice bath to recover from the last week of biking. Devin, Leah, and Bill all had done them before and told us repeatedly how amazing they were. They also forgot to tell us how painful it was to even get in the tub. It was obvious that I'd never done an ice bath before when it took me several minutes to psych myself up enough to get in . Everyone else can testify that I almost cried from the cold.

Right now, I'm still recovering from the shock so I'll let you know later if it worked!
